Systems Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise‑scale data platforms within the banking and financial services sector. The role involves shaping data architecture across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments while ensuring compliance with regulatory and responsible AI standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise‑wide data platforms, architecture models, and integration frameworks.
• Review and validate architecture designs for on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid deployments.
• Collaborate with business, technology, risk, compliance, and governance stakeholders to align data solutions with strategic objectives.
• Support immediate project timelines and drive data governance, quality, and metadata management initiatives.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in Data Architecture, Enterprise Data Management, or Data Engineering, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture principles, data modeling, integration, and governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms, data warehouses, lakehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics ecosystems.
• Understanding of AI/ML data ecosystems, responsible AI principles, and related technical governance.
• Experience with regulatory data management requirements and stakeholder management.
• GCC or Qatar banking experience and relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA, CDMP) are highly desirable.
