Teaching Assistant – Etqan Global Academy (IB School)

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support Etqan Global Academy, an IB World School in Doha. You will work closely with teachers across the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) to ensure every learner receives the assistance they need to thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Assist class teachers in delivering differentiated, high‑quality lessons aligned with IB frameworks.
• Provide targeted support to individual students, small groups, or the whole class as directed.
• Prepare resources, materials, and classroom environments before lessons.
• Help students access the curriculum, fostering independence and a love of learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school’s behaviour‑for‑learning expectations.
• Contribute to monitoring and documenting student progress, including portfolio evidence.
• Support the use of ICT and learning technology in the classroom.
• Participate positively in the wider school community.

Required profile

• A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (e.g., CACHE, NVQ Level 3).
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a school setting.
• Ability to support differentiated learning for students with diverse abilities and needs.
• Strong cross‑cultural, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Organised, reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
• Experience in an international or IB school is desirable.
