Teaching Assistant – IB Primary & Middle Years

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support teachers at Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on delivering differentiated learning experiences within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) and ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Assist class teachers in delivering high‑quality, differentiated lessons aligned with IB frameworks.
• Provide targeted in‑class support to individual students, small groups, or whole classes as directed.
• Prepare resources, materials, and learning environments ahead of lessons.
• Help students access the curriculum, fostering independence and a love of learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school’s behaviour‑for‑learning expectations.
• Contribute to monitoring and documenting student progress, including portfolio evidence.
• Support the integration of ICT and learning technology in classroom activities.
• Participate positively in the wider school community and extracurricular life.

Required profile

• A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (e.g., CACHE, NVQ Level 3).
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a school setting.
• Ability to support differentiated learning for students with diverse abilities and needs.
• Strong cross‑cultural communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
• Organised, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
