Teaching Assistant

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar. EGA is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to enhance learning experiences and ensure every student receives the support they need.

Key responsibilities

• Assist class teachers in delivering differentiated learning aligned with IB PYP and MYP frameworks.
• Provide targeted in‑class support to individual students, small groups, or the whole class as directed.
• Prepare resources, materials, and the learning environment before lessons.
• Help students access the curriculum, fostering independence and resilience.
• Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school’s behaviour for learning expectations.
• Contribute to monitoring and documenting student progress, including portfolio evidence.
• Support the use of ICT and learning technology in the classroom.
• Participate positively in the wider school community.

Required profile

• A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (e.g., CACHE, NVQ Level 3).
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a school setting.
• Ability to support differentiated learning for diverse abilities and needs.
• Strong cross‑cultural, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Organised, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using ICT and learning technology tools.
