Teaching Associate / Lecturer in Mathematics (Master's Degree)

About the role

The Science & Math unit at Community College of Qatar is looking for a Teaching Associate / Lecturer in Mathematics or Statistics with a Master's degree. The successful candidate will teach college-level math, statistics and foundation math courses and contribute to the department's teaching excellence, committee service, student mentoring and advising, in an inclusive and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach all math and statistics courses offered by the unit, including day and/or evening foundation and college-level courses on different campuses, using technologies as needed
• Follow the department's instructional plans and teach within allocated contact hours
• Advise students, take part in course and program development and professional development, and carry out unit, college and community services as assigned by the Chair
• Plan lessons and assignments to college and departmental quality standards, design assessments and grade work according to the syllabus and guidelines
• Keep accurate student records and submit reports and forms on time, and hold regular office hours

Required profile

• Master's degree
• At least three years of experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate students
• Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
• Effective communication in both Arabic and English
• Collaborative, ethical and responsible behaviour; GCC experience is an advantage
