Technical Lifting Lead – Oil & Gas

About the role

The Technical Lifting Lead will support the Head of Technical Lifting and project teams in delivering safe and compliant lifting operations across on‑shore and off‑shore oil & gas projects in Qatar. The role ensures that lifting assurance processes, standards and best practices are consistently applied and updated.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Technical Lifting in planning and supervising lifting activities.
• Maintain and continuously improve lifting assurance processes and documentation.
• Update lifting standards to align with corporate, international and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor compliance with API, ASME, BS, DNV, ISO and LOLER standards on all projects.
• Perform lifting and rigging calculations in accordance with DNV guidelines.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve technical lifting issues and ensure safe execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience on large construction‑related oil & gas projects.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or acting oversight experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and lifting assurance processes.
• Availability to work on‑site in Qatar.

Required skills

• Knowledge of API, ASME, BS, DNV, ISO and LOLER standards.
• Expertise in lifting and rigging calculations per DNV standards.
• Experience establishing and managing lifting compliance and assurance processes.
• High competency in regulatory compliance for lifting operations.
