Telephone Operator (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

The Iconic Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha is looking for an Arabic-speaking Telephone Operator. The role covers answering guest calls, handling queries and complaints, managing the switchboard and keeping records of calls and messages, while maintaining high guest satisfaction and quality audit results.

Key responsibilities

• Receive every guest call professionally and courteously, greeting guests by name according to Rixos standards
• Resolve guest complaints and requests and liaise with the relevant departments for immediate follow-up
• Keep the switchboard running efficiently so internal and external calls are transferred quickly
• Complete long-distance call vouchers and record them on the traffic sheet; monitor long-distance call logs, faxes and messages
• Maintain the guest wakeup call sheet and deliver calls on time to the established standard
• Keep telephone lists up to date and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the hotel and local services
• Stay aware of management schedules and contact details, and coordinate communication during emergencies
• Work cooperatively with the team and other departments and attend scheduled training

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience
• Previous experience in hospitality, concierge work, reception, customer service or a similar position
• Fluent Arabic and English; any additional language is an advantage
• Professional appearance: well-groomed, appropriately dressed, punctual and dependable
