Trust Services Standards & Regulatory Specialist (eIDAS, ETSI & PKI)

About the role

We are looking for a Trust Services Standards & Regulatory Specialist to lead the development, implementation and supervision of regulatory frameworks for Certification Service Providers (CSPs) and Trust Service Providers (TSPs). The role ensures compliance with eIDAS, ETSI EN 319 standards and best‑practice PKI controls, supporting national and EU‑wide digital trust initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and rollout of regulatory frameworks governing trust services.
• Apply eIDAS principles and ETSI EN 319 standards in licensing, compliance reviews and supervision activities.
• Review conformity assessment and audit reports from Certification Authorities, CSPs and TSPs.
• Evaluate PKI architectures, certificate lifecycle management, cryptographic controls and overall trust service compliance.
• Identify compliance gaps and propose corrective actions.
• Monitor developments in eIDAS 2.0, digital identity and emerging trust‑service technologies.
• Prepare regulatory guidance, policy recommendations and executive briefings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in PKI, digital trust services, cybersecurity or regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of eIDAS Regulation, ETSI EN 319 Trust Service Standards and Public Key Infrastructure.
• Experience working with regulators, auditors, Certification Authorities or Trust Service Providers is highly desirable.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor are a plus.
