Turnaround Static Engineer – Ammonia (Mesaieed, Qatar)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Turnaround Static Engineer to lead the static engineering activities for an ammonia plant turnaround in Mesaieed, Qatar. The role will involve planning, coordinating and executing turnaround tasks while ensuring safety, quality and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning, preparation, execution and close‑out of the ammonia plant turnaround.
• Coordinate with the Turnaround Coordination Team, Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Engineering, contractors and support functions.
• Manage turnaround deliverables, work packages, materials, resources and contractor requirements in line with approved schedules and HSE standards.
• Monitor progress, track budget, mitigate risks and handle scope changes.
• Resolve day‑to‑day execution issues to achieve schedule, cost, quality and operational readiness targets.
• Drive process improvements, documentation updates and training activities related to turnaround execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 10–15 years of direct experience in plant turnarounds, preferably in ammonia or related chemical facilities.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements, quality standards and turnaround procedures.
