Urdu Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

This is an hourly, remote contractor position where you will lead quality assurance for Urdu AI training projects. You will ensure that all Urdu content and trainer work meet high standards of accuracy, cultural relevance, and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Urdu content and trainer/QA outputs against detailed project rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback in English to improve quality and adherence to guidelines.
• Monitor trainer performance, onboarding, and documentation for remote contributors.
• Identify recurring quality issues, communicate updates to the team, and activate inconsistent contributors.
• Assess content for grammar, spelling, tone, register, script formatting (Nastaliq, right‑to‑left), and cultural appropriateness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urdu, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Urdu with strong reading and writing skills.
• Excellent command of English for guideline interpretation and feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Urdu writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or similar workflows.
• Deep knowledge of Urdu grammar, punctuation, tone, cultural context, and Nastaliq script conventions.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs is strongly preferred.
