Vice President, International Subsidiaries Audit & Oversight (Qatarization)

About the role

QNB Group, Qatar's first Qatari-owned commercial bank, is hiring a Vice President for International Subsidiaries Audit and Oversight. The incumbent leads audits and oversight of the International Subsidiaries portfolio as a member of the Group Internal Audit Function, providing independent assurance on governance, risk management and internal control. The role defines and keeps up to date the international subsidiaries audit universe, integrates advanced data analytics and continuous auditing, and complies with the GIAD Group Audit Manual, IIA standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Shareholder and financial: contribute to the risk-based annual audit plan, assess investment and operations-related processes, implement KPIs and best practices, and promote cost efficiency.
• Customer service: build relationships with internal stakeholders, advise subsidiaries management and the Audit Committee on governance, internal control and risk, and meet SLAs with internal departments.
• External coordination: provide data to external and internal auditors, compliance, financial control and risk, and coordinate with external auditors, consultants and regulators.
• Audit engagement management: lead audits of international subsidiaries, from planning (risk assessment, scope, APM, RCM, ToR) through fieldwork, reporting and follow-up of open issues.
• Build internal audit capability with Heads of Audit in subsidiaries, and support the integration of data analytics into the audit practice.
