Vice President Islamic Business Development

About the role

The Vice President of Islamic Business Development will own the international Islamic banking portfolio, driving asset, liability and profit targets across QNB’s global network. Reporting to senior leadership, the role shapes and executes the group’s Islamic banking strategy, ensuring product offerings meet market demand and Sharia‑compliant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define, monitor and achieve KPI‑based targets for international Islamic banking assets, liabilities and profitability.
• Review and implement the approved QNB International Islamic Banking strategy and annual business plans.
• Oversee budgeting for deposits, financing deals, expenses and profit forecasts in line with group objectives.
• Coordinate with Islamic functions in branches and subsidiaries to ensure consistent product delivery and best‑practice adoption.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with external partners, regulators and key stakeholders.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to launch new Sharia‑compliant products and expand market presence.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Islamic banking and international financial services.
• Proven track record of achieving growth and profitability targets.
• Strong understanding of Sharia compliance and Islamic finance products.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
• Leadership experience managing senior‑level teams across multiple regions.
