About the role

The Waiter will support the restaurant team at Mandarin Oriental Doha by delivering prompt, courteous service and ensuring each guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. Working under the guidance of managers and supervisors, you will help maintain high standards of food presentation, cleanliness, and overall guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and communicate the outlet’s concept and food‑and‑beverage offerings to guests.
• Complete mise en place and cleaning tasks before and during service to ensure efficient operations.
• Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system to process orders, payments, and gift cards.
• Deliver attentive service, anticipate guest needs, and upsell menu items to enhance revenue.
• Handle billing, cash, and non‑cash transactions in line with hotel cashiering policies.
• Ensure dishes are presented according to hotel standards and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Comply with all corporate policies, including data protection, internet use, and the MOHG Code of Conduct.
• Support learning and development activities and undertake additional duties as requested by management.
