Wellhead Operations Specialist (Offshore)

About the role

The Wellhead Operations Specialist (Offshore) provides technical expertise for well operations, maintenance and repairs on offshore assets. The role ensures safe, reliable and efficient well performance while supporting QatarEnergy LNG’s production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all well maintenance, integrity testing and repair activities to meet reliability and shareholder expectations.
• Develop and maintain well O&M strategies and maintenance plans aligned with production forecasts, regulatory and QGMS requirements.
• Respond to emergencies to minimise safety and financial impact on installed assets.
• Collaborate with offshore management, NFB, RGA and third‑party vendors to execute approved well operations and maintenance procedures.
• Evaluate third‑party technical reports and OEM inputs for value‑adding opportunities.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to optimise workflows and working methods.
• Support internal and external audits for the section.
• Scope and review work programs for non‑routine or high‑consequence well activities, including new wells from expansion projects.
• Interface between offshore planning and maintenance to ensure effective follow‑up on activities.
• Provide support to the Well & Operations Support Head and other Offshore Division Managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of rig‑less well work operations experience in the oil and gas industry.
• At least 3 years of rig‑assisted well work operations experience, offshore or on‑shore.
• Strong knowledge of Well Integrity Management, including Sustained Casing Pressure Management, Leak‑off testing and Wellhead & Xmas Tree maintenance.
