Workshop Supervisor

About the role

The Workshop Supervisor will lead daily workshop operations for Qatar Steel, ensuring efficient workflow and high‑quality output. This role involves planning, monitoring, and coordinating the activities of technicians, mechanics and fabricators in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily workshop activities and manpower.
• Plan and assign jobs to technicians, mechanics, fabricators and other staff.
• Monitor repair, maintenance, fabrication and servicing work to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Inspect completed work for compliance with technical specifications and company standards.
• Oversee the use of workshop tools, machinery, equipment and materials.
• Identify mechanical or technical problems and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain records of workshop activities, repairs, spare parts and equipment usage.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, workplace safety and safe operation of workshop equipment.
• Coordinate with management and other departments regarding workshop requirements and progress.
• Train, guide and supervise workshop personnel to improve productivity and work quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in workshop supervision or mechanical maintenance.
• Relevant education in mechanical engineering or a related field.
