Accountant

About the role

TradesApp is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial reporting, and audit support. The successful candidate will work independently while collaborating closely with internal departments to ensure accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and documentation.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities.
• Manage and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and ensure compliance.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist internal and external audits with schedules and documentation.
• Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to improving accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment in Qatar.
• Native‑level proficiency in Arabic and English.
• Currently based in Qatar.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
