Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which brings together more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels, 10,000 restaurants and lifestyle destinations, is looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Payable professional to join its finance team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers in Doha, Qatar. You will help manage the company's financial obligations and ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices, expense reports and payment requests
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
• Reconcile vendor statements and handle payment discrepancies
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
• Assist in month-end closing procedures
• Respond to vendor inquiries about payment status
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice or payment issues
• Maintain organized files and documentation for auditing purposes
• Assist in preparing financial reports and analysis, and contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Previous experience in accounts payable preferred
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Adaptability to learn new systems and processes quickly

Required skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of billing and invoicing procedures
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements
