Advanced Field Service Engineer – O&G Metering Specialist

About the role

The Advanced Field Service Engineer provides on‑site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for complex oil & gas metering equipment. You will act as an escalation point, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair services for custody transfer, tank inventory, gas flow metering, and flame & gas detection systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize equipment downtime.
• Interact with customers to understand requirements, address inquiries, and deliver training on equipment operation.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and equipment status updates.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to identify potential issues early.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and support teams to deliver comprehensive service.
• Provide feedback to product development for continuous improvement.
• Adhere to safety policies, regulatory guidelines, and travel to customer sites domestically and internationally as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field (relevant diplomas may be considered).
• Proven experience in field service engineering or a similar technical role.
• Strong technical knowledge of complex machinery and instrumentation.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Customer‑focused mindset with ability to build strong relationships.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Willingness to travel extensively, often on short notice.
