Associate Civil Engineer (Entry Level)

About the role

Parsons is looking for a motivated Associate Civil Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team. This entry‑level role is ideal for recent graduates who want to develop practical engineering expertise while contributing to real projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine engineering and design tasks using established civil engineering principles.
• Prepare calculations, material take‑offs, cost estimates, surveys, technical reports and design documentation.
• Assist in preparing purchase requisitions, service requests and subcontract documents.
• Support senior engineers in reviewing supplier drawings, technical submittals and bid evaluations.
• Generate engineering specifications, data sheets and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with CAD/CADD designers to ensure accurate drawing production.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain technical consistency and meet project deadlines.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and help resolve interface issues.
• Attend site visits, inspections and field investigations as required.
• Maintain project documentation in line with company procedures, client requirements and engineering standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience or internship exposure.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles, standards and practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work effectively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with engineering software.
• Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with CAD/CADD tools (advantageous).
