Field Engineer

About the role

The Field Engineer will support offshore installation projects by applying technical knowledge and standard procedures to solve field and yard issues. Working under moderate guidance, the role involves travel to offshore sites and coordination with multiple disciplines to ensure safe and efficient execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop vessel layout and barge loadout plans for safe transportation and installation of materials offshore.
• Prepare offshore installation procedures, material lists, and loadout lists in line with company standards.
• Coordinate with Marine, E&M, Welding, Quality, HSES, Survey, ROV, Diving, and subcontractors to ensure equipment and personnel readiness.
• Inspect pre‑rigging, loadouts, and sea fastening; verify fabricated items and manage logistics for cargo movements.
• Participate in constructability sessions, hazard identification studies, and job safety analyses, and communicate recommendations.
• Monitor site progress, advise on changes affecting schedule or execution, and produce post‑job reports and as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of offshore installation experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design tools.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using 3D modeling software for offshore projects.
