Banquets Manager

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton is hiring a Banquets Manager in Doha, Qatar. The role directs and motivates the team while personally helping deliver high-quality service according to requirements and standards, and monitors financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection. It is a full-time management position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage banquet operations: order supplies (china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, props), maintain sanitation levels, manage inventory and equipment, and use beverage records to control liquor costs.
• Schedule banquet service staff to meet forecast and service standards while maximising profits, and help build lasting group relationships.
• Set goals, delegate tasks and run monthly department meetings; act as liaison to the kitchen and lead shifts and event service.
• Deliver exceptional guest service: gather guest feedback, handle complaints, empower staff and review comment cards and satisfaction results.
• Handle emergencies, train staff in safety procedures, monitor service behaviour and implement corrective action plans.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of experience in event management, food and beverage or a related field.
