Barista Trainer

About the role

Kozbean Premium Coffee is a specialty coffee company sourcing high-quality beans from East Africa's volcanic highlands to Qatar and the Middle East, and committed to coffee education through barista training, cupping sessions and industry events. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Barista Trainer in Doha, Qatar, who designs and delivers barista training programmes and supports cafés and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver barista training covering espresso preparation, milk steaming, brewing methods, drink recipes and workflow efficiency.
• Conduct practical training sessions, evaluate trainee performance and provide ongoing coaching to maintain high beverage and service standards.
• Support cafés and clients with menu development, equipment usage and best practices in coffee quality and customer service.
• Maintain training materials, coordinate schedules and collaborate with the sales and operations teams so training matches Kozbean's brand and service expectations.

Required profile

• Experience designing and delivering structured barista or hospitality training programmes.
• Strong communication skills, including clear instruction, constructive feedback and adapting teaching style to diverse learners.
• Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to welcoming, high-quality guest experiences.
• Coaching skills to mentor new and experienced baristas and encourage continuous improvement.
• Ability to work on-site in Doha, including flexibility to run training at different client locations.
• Professional certification in barista skills or coffee education (e.g. SCA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong organisational skills, reliability and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of espresso, brewing methods, coffee origins and café operations.
• Prior barista or café management experience is strongly preferred.
