About the role
The Branch Accountant supports the branch’s financial operations, ensuring accurate invoicing, effective receivables follow‑up, strong cash controls, and timely reporting. This position works closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to maintain compliance with internal policies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage invoicing for units, validate sales order conditions, and handle discount checks, subsidy approvals, and gate pass issuance.
- Perform regular accounts receivable follow‑up, review recovery accounts, and assist in calculating provisions.
- Create SMC contracts with billing plans and provide information for general ledger updates.
- Maintain petty cash records, process claims, and follow up on outstanding IOUs.
- Monitor general ledger activity, support month‑end reporting, balance‑sheet substantiation, and financial pack preparation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial controls, and audit requirements, escalating issues when necessary.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Relevant accounting experience in a branch, retail, automotive, or service‑oriented environment.
- Proactive approach with sound judgment and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
