Business Analyst – Legal (Financial Sector)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Analyst with a legal focus to join our financial services team in Doha. You will work closely with risk, compliance, legal, governance and business continuity stakeholders to shape and document processes that meet regulatory and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirements workshops with risk, compliance, legal, governance and business continuity stakeholders.
• Document current state, perform gap analysis and author functional requirements for risk assessments, control libraries, KRIs, compliance mapping, policy lifecycle, incident management and business continuity management.
• Design workflow solutions including approvals, escalation matrices and role‑based access controls.
• Support data migration mapping, validation, develop and execute UAT test cases, and deliver end‑user training.
• Ensure all documented processes align with applicable legal, regulatory requirements and recognized standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in banking or financial services.
• Hands‑on exposure to at least two of the following: operational risk, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, legal/regulatory affairs, or business continuity management.
• Working knowledge of ISO 31000, ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and Basel operational risk concepts.
• Strong facilitation, requirements traceability and documentation skills.
• Fluent English, based onsite in Doha and able to complete background screening.
• Preferred Arabic language skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, IRM/ICA, CRISC or ISO lead implementer/auditor are a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with GRC platform implementation.
• Knowledge of ISO 31000, ISO 27001, ISO 22301 standards.
• Understanding of Basel operational risk frameworks.
