Carpenter – Maintenance & Guest Services

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our facilities team in Lusail, Qatar. The role focuses on responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the appearance and functionality of hotel rooms and public areas.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and repair carpentry items, wood trim, drywall, and paint surfaces.
• Carry out basic plumbing (toilet plunging, drain clearing) and electrical tasks (lamp replacement, switch/outlet swaps).
• Program televisions, replace light bulbs and air‑conditioner filters, and maintain housekeeping inventories.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Update HVAC schedules and temperature settings via computer interfaces.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to the next shift using approved systems.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic, and energy‑conservation systems.
• Ability to follow safety, security, and company policies, including proper handling of flammable materials.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and strong guest‑service orientation.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided and assist with heavier items when needed.
