About the role
A growing automotive team in Qatar is looking for a skilled, results-driven Chief Accountant. The ideal candidate has solid experience in financial management, accounting operations and reporting, preferably in an automotive dealership or vehicle trading environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records.
- Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
- Lead monthly and annual financial closing and reporting.
- Monitor vehicle, spare parts and inventory accounting.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable Qatar regulations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Support budgeting, cash flow management and financial analysis.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Previous experience in automotive dealerships or vehicle trading is highly preferred.
- Qatar experience is an advantage.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial controls.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, leadership and problem-solving skills.
