Consultant Psychiatrist (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist who is fluent in Arabic to join a leading healthcare organization in Qatar. The role involves delivering comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence‑based treatment across both inpatient and outpatient settings while working within multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric disorders including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and personality disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, medication regimens and psychotherapy interventions.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care when required.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, neurologists, primary care physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options and preventive strategies.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with Qatar healthcare regulations.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement projects, research activities and continuing medical education.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by Qatar healthcare authorities.
• Board certification or fellowship in Psychiatry.
• Valid QCHP/DHP Consultant License or eligibility letter.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post‑board consultant experience in psychiatry.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Strong expertise in adult psychiatry and mental health management.
