About the role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts & Commercial Manager to lead contract administration for a major energy client in Doha. The role involves overseeing all contractual matters, ensuring compliance, and supporting project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, negotiate, and administer a variety of contracts.
- Review contractual notices of claims and provide advice.
- Interact with clients, contractors, vendors, and consultants on contractual issues.
- Examine tender documents and draft contracts for clarity and compliance.
- Investigate potential contractual problems and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare key correspondence and maintain comprehensive contract records.
- Facilitate contract changes and oversee variation orders.
- Review and respond to claims against the client, including counter‑claims.
- Ensure warranties, bonds, insurances, and securities are in place.
- Draft contract amendments for approval.
- Assist in preparing monthly progress reports.
- Manage a team of contract administrators.
Required profile
- University degree in engineering or quantity surveying.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in contract administration and quantity surveying.
- Preferably experience in the energy or power sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Qatari nationality due to Qatarization policy.
