Contracts Specialist I - Oil & Gas

About the role

This role manages contracts and tenders for EPC and major projects in the oil and gas sector. It covers the full tendering process, contract execution, administration and payment coordination, working closely with project teams, technical authorities and the contract committee.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer the full tendering process for EPC and major projects, including preparing Call for Tender (CFT) documents, Invitations to Tender (ITT) and evaluation procedures
• Evaluate contractual submissions, support bid evaluations and verify guarantees, insurances and compliance; prepare recommendation reports and award recommendations
• Finalise contract documentation, coordinate signatures and close out pre-award activities
• Administer contractual documentation, correspondence registers and records throughout the contract lifecycle
• Manage change orders, amendments, claims, disputes and counterclaims
• Maintain guarantees, bonds, certificates and insurance requirements, and issue contractual certificates
• Coordinate contractor payments, including monthly applications and invoices, and track commitments and expenditure
• Maintain contract data in company systems such as PALM, Ariba and S4HANA, and monitor contract consumption, budgets and expiry dates
• Support EPC senior contract engineers and project teams, and perform additional duties assigned by management

Required profile

• Graduate degree from a recognised university in the discipline
• At least 8 years of contract management experience on onshore and offshore oil and gas projects
• Fluent English (speaking and writing) with sound communication skills
• Good knowledge of standard contracts and the CFT process

Required skills

• A good level of contractual understanding
• Good knowledge of Ariba for tender execution
• Good knowledge of S4HANA
