Costing Analyst

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for a Costing Analyst in Doha to support the development and maintenance of patient, service line, departmental and procedural costing methodologies. The role covers collecting, validating and analysing financial and operational data, preparing cost reports and dashboards, and collaborating with revenue cycle teams on pricing and reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain patient, service line, departmental and procedural costing methodologies.
• Collect, validate and analyse financial and operational data for cost accounting purposes.
• Prepare cost reports, dashboards and variance analyses; monitor direct and indirect cost allocations across departments and cost centers.
• Analyse labor, supplies, pharmaceuticals and overhead costs to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, and determine the cost of clinical services, procedures and programs.
• Maintain costing systems, cost drivers and allocation methodologies.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle teams on pricing and reimbursement analyses, and prepare ad hoc analyses for leadership decisions.
• Support benchmarking and compare cost performance against internal and external standards.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with costing policies and accounting standards, and take part in process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CMA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in healthcare finance, cost accounting, financial analysis or related fields.
• Experience with healthcare costing methodologies and cost accounting principles preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems, cost accounting systems and healthcare information systems.
• Ability to interpret large datasets and communicate findings to stakeholders.
