Customer Engineer

About the role

OpenOpen.cx is an AI‑native customer support platform helping enterprises automate the majority of their support interactions. We are looking for a Customer Engineer who will act as the technical bridge between our enterprise clients and the Open.cx product, ensuring smooth onboarding, rapid issue resolution, and continuous value delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact, responding quickly to customer queries via Slack or video calls and owning end‑to‑end resolution.
• Lead technical onboarding and implementation, guiding customers through setup, configuration, and integration with tools such as Zendesk, Intercom, and HubSpot.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues in live environments, including third‑party integrations.
• Write and ship production code in the Node.js/TypeScript codebase to fix bugs, add integration enhancements, and deliver small feature improvements.
• Collaborate with product engineering by sharing customer context, escalating systemic problems, and influencing the product roadmap.
• Develop deep expertise in Open.cx AI agents and prompt engineering to advise customers on optimizing their support operations.
• Document recurring issues, solutions, and integration patterns to enrich internal knowledge bases and customer resources.

Required profile

• 2‑3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with AI agents and prompt engineering.
• Previous customer‑facing technical work in a SaaS environment, such as onboarding or integration debugging.
• Strong ability to learn and work with helpdesk APIs (Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot).
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, with confidence on video calls.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑moving startup environment.
