Data Center Systems Manager

About the role

The Data Center Systems Manager oversees the coordination, integration, testing, commissioning and delivery of all critical systems for hyperscale and mission‑critical data centre projects. The role acts as the primary interface between design consultants, contractors, OEMs, commissioning teams and project stakeholders to ensure a fully integrated, operational and resilient facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical integration of CSA, MEP and ELV systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate activities among design consultants, construction teams, OEM vendors and the Commissioning Authority (CxA).
• Review and validate IFC drawings, shop drawings, technical submittals and vendor documentation for compliance with Tier III/IV, TIA‑942 and hyperscale standards.
• Monitor installation of electrical (MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, busduct), mechanical (chillers, CRAH/CRAC, cooling infrastructure, containment) and ELV systems (BMS, DCIM, fire alarm, structured cabling, ICT).
• Lead FAT, SAT and Integrated Systems Testing, including load‑bank, full‑load performance and resilience testing.
• Work with the Commissioning Authority to approve commissioning plans, scripts and procedures and ensure Level 1‑5 commissioning processes are executed.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (Uptime Institute, TIA‑942, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC) and local regulations (QCS, Kahramaa, QCDD).
• Coordinate HSE and Permit‑to‑Work activities for safe execution of testing in live or near‑live environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end integration of data centre systems.
• Strong knowledge of CSA, MEP and ELV system design and installation.
• Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier III/IV, TIA‑942, ASHRAE, NFPA and IEC standards.
• Ability to resolve design conflicts, constructability issues and technical risks.
