Delivery Assurance Director - Infrastructure

About the role

An experienced Delivery Assurance Director is sought to provide independent assurance and oversight across major infrastructure and capital projects. The role ensures projects are properly governed, realistically planned, effectively controlled and ready to progress through key delivery stages, while offering independent challenge on cost, schedule, risk and overall project performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead independent delivery assurance reviews across major infrastructure projects.
• Conduct stage-gate and project readiness reviews and give clear recommendations to senior management.
• Independently challenge cost estimates, schedules, forecasts, risks and contingencies.
• Review overall project performance and identify potential cost overruns, delays and delivery risks early.
• Assess the effectiveness of project controls, governance, reporting and escalation processes.
• Review EPC, EPCM, PMC/PMCM and Design & Build delivery arrangements.
• Monitor major variations, claims, change orders and commercial risks.
• Review project recovery plans where performance is outside agreed tolerances.
• Assess construction readiness, interface management and contractor performance.
• Provide assurance during construction, commissioning, operational readiness and handover.
• Ensure key risks and issues are reported and escalated to senior leadership, and work with Project Directors, owners, developers, consultants and contractors.

Required profile

• Experience in major infrastructure such as rail, metro, airports, ports, highways, bridges, tunnels, utilities, PPP/concession projects, or in an owner/client, developer, concessionaire or major PMCM environment.
• Ability to work closely with stakeholders and give evidence-based recommendations to senior management.
