Energy Specialist

About the role

The Energy Specialist will serve as the Base Energy Manager (BEM) for the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Reporting to the customer, the role provides a single point of contact for all energy‑related inquiries and drives the implementation of energy awareness and conservation initiatives across the installation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an energy awareness program to reduce personal and technological energy consumption.
• Coordinate utility management measures for heating, cooling, electrical usage and water conservation with HVAC, EMCS, facilities and operations engineering teams.
• Provide energy use data and support the Energy Management Program using NexGen IT.
• Review project designs to ensure inclusion of energy conservation measures and sustainable solutions.
• Recommend and implement changes in consumption patterns to minimize utility costs while maintaining operational readiness.

Required profile

• Minimum 48 months (4 years) of experience in energy management or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage energy programs on a large installation.
• Understanding of federal energy and water resilience objectives.
