Equipment Maintenance Technician – Commercial Kitchen & HVAC

About the role

The Equipment and Operations Maintenance Technician will service commercial cooking equipment, HVAC/refrigeration units, and kitchen exhaust systems at customer sites across Qatar. You will perform both scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency repairs, ensuring equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen appliances (fryers, ovens, steamers, ice machines, coolers, freezers) and HVAC/refrigeration equipment.
• Service kitchen exhaust hood and duct systems, including inspections and emergency calls.
• Complete service calls promptly, order parts, and finish required paperwork.
• Maintain service vehicle stock, appearance, and tool inventories.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours and weekend support.
• Escort subcontractor technicians and assist with related duties as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in HVAC/refrigeration and commercial kitchen appliance repair.
• Experience with ice machines, reach‑in coolers/freezers, and refrigerated containers.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; ServSafe® certification (or obtain before start).
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, dust, humidity, and hazardous conditions.
• Willingness to obtain a Qatar residency visa and hold a U.S. passport (preferred).

Required skills

• HVAC and refrigeration troubleshooting and repair.
• Commercial kitchen equipment maintenance (fryers, ovens, steamers, ice machines, coolers, freezers).
• Kitchen exhaust hood and duct system servicing.
• Utility line connection/disconnection and hard‑wire installations.
• Tool and parts inventory management.
• Knowledge of NFPA Code 96 (preferred) and ServSafe standards.
