External Audit Manager – ESG

About the role

PwC Middle East is seeking an experienced External Audit Manager with a focus on ESG to lead a portfolio of high‑profile clients. You will manage the full audit cycle, provide strategic advice on financial reporting and regulatory developments, and contribute to the growth of our assurance practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end audit engagements for an iconic client portfolio, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
• Develop and execute audit strategies in line with engagement leader guidance.
• Manage day‑to‑day client liaison, addressing technical issues and maintaining strong relationships.
• Identify business development opportunities and support research on new or existing clients.
• Advise senior client management, including board and audit committee presentations.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and disseminate knowledge through internal and external seminars.
• Ensure compliance with risk, quality, and independence standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing audit assignments for large, complex organizations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
