Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the hotel’s finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, robust internal controls and sound financial management in line with USALI and GHM standards. Reporting to the General Manager, you will partner with senior management to drive profitability and support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations of the hotel, including month‑end closing and cash‑flow management.
• Prepare and present timely financial statements and management reports.
• Develop, monitor and analyse budgets, forecasts and departmental profitability.
• Implement cost‑control measures and revenue‑analysis initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company policies and USALI guidelines.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks and other stakeholders.
• Manage treasury functions, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; ACCA, CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in Qatar and 5 years in a 5‑star luxury hotel.
• Strong knowledge of USALI and hotel financial reporting.
• Proven ability to work with senior management and multicultural teams.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
