Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

The Food & Beverage Supervisor oversees the daily operation of an outlet, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction in line with hotel and brand standards. The role covers customer service, operations, financial controls and team supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure consistently high standards of service and guest satisfaction, handle guest requests, feedback and complaints professionally and follow up appropriately
• Build positive relationships with guests and maintain professional interactions with colleagues
• Demonstrate thorough menu knowledge and support the team in recommendations, upselling and personalized service
• Supervise the daily operation of the outlet, keeping front and back-of-house areas clean, organized and ready
• Follow brand standards, service procedures and departmental guidelines, and coordinate with Kitchen, Beverage, Housekeeping and other departments
• Ensure proper cashiering, billing and Micros procedures are followed
• Support event and function preparations and stay hands-on during busy service periods
• Assist with inventory checks, stock control and handling of equipment and supplies
• Support the Outlet Manager in meeting revenue targets while controlling costs, encourage upselling and ensure accurate handling of cash, credit card transactions and financial documentation
• Supervise team attendance, punctuality, grooming and uniform standards, give daily guidance and coaching, run briefings and support training and development
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, hygiene, health and safety, fire and security procedures
• Attend meetings, briefings and training sessions, represent the hotel professionally and carry out other reasonable duties assigned by management

Required profile

• Ideally a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
• Good communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and supervisory skills
