Fullstack Software Engineer – Trading & Finance

About the role

UBS is looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to design and build real‑time, data‑intensive trading applications used by traders, sales, and operations teams. The role combines front‑end UI development with Java back‑end work, leveraging AI‑assisted tools to accelerate delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain React/TypeScript front‑ends for blotters, dashboards, and order workflows.
• Consume real‑time streaming data via WebSockets or similar technologies.
• Integrate REST APIs and backend Java services into the UI.
• Write unit and integration tests, ensure code quality, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with global IT teams, UX designers, and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of front‑end development experience and at least 1 year of Java server‑side work.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn trading concepts.
• Effective communication and teamwork in an agile environment.

• State management (Redux, Zustand, React Query), UI libraries (AG‑Grid, Material UI, Ant Design)
