General Technician

About the role

The General Technician ensures the smooth operation of all hotel facilities and equipment at Banana Island Resort Doha. You will be the first line of defence for preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and guest assistance related to technical services.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on all MEP, lighting, HVAC, and BMS systems.
• Conduct safety inspections throughout the property and take immediate corrective action.
• Assist guests with facility‑related queries in a helpful manner.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair non‑operational equipment.
• Handle work orders, utility‑meter readings, and daily engineering checklists.
• Provide clear handovers to the next shift and follow up on pending complaints.
• Execute monthly PPM tasks and update job sheets for validation by senior engineers.
• Maintain cleanliness of workshops, plant rooms, and work areas.

• Highly responsible, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Team‑oriented with strong communication and active‑listening skills.
• Self‑starter who can make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
