Head of Commissioning (Utilities) – LNG Project

About the role

The Head of Commissioning (Utilities) will lead the planning and execution of all commissioning activities for an onshore LNG plant. Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, you will ensure the EPC contractor meets schedule, safety, and start‑up requirements while coordinating daily operations on a 6‑day work week.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee pre‑commissioning and commissioning for the EPC‑1 contractor, ensuring delivery against the Project Work Time Schedule.
• Review and approve critical class‑1 deliverables, including plot plans, HAZOP, SIL assessments, and 3D models.
• Participate in factory acceptance tests of critical equipment and packages.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Project Controls Division Manager, highlighting actions and mitigations.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, drive decision‑making, and manage stakeholder alignment.
• Identify and mitigate technical issues, schedule delays, and potential claims.
• Apply risk‑management techniques and identify SIMOPS early for safe site execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering, procurement, and construction for large‑scale oil & gas projects.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or acting‑role capacity.
