About the role
The Head of Special Projects and Outreach (Qatarization) will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of women’s and girls’ sports programmes, ensuring they align with the organisation’s strategic objectives and foster strong community engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans for women’s and girls’ sports programming.
- Design comprehensive community‑engagement strategies that integrate sports initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate high‑impact sports events, optimizing facility usage.
- Build and maintain relationships with sports federations, community leaders and partner organisations.
- Oversee maintenance, safety and compliance of all sports facilities.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and facility conditions, providing data‑driven recommendations.
- Lead and mentor programming and facility‑management teams.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety and regulatory standards.
- Plan budgets, allocate resources and monitor financial performance.
- Conduct operational audits and produce management reports.
- Introduce innovative approaches to keep the organisation at the forefront of community sports.
- Forge partnerships to secure hosting rights for prestigious events.
- Create unique sport offerings aligned with regional and international leagues.
- Represent the programme in the organisation’s newsroom and promote visibility.
- Develop bridge programmes to create pathways for talent scouting and event execution.
- Collaborate with external entities to support programming and event delivery.
Required profile
- Senior leadership experience in sports programme or community‑engagement management.
- Proven track record of delivering large‑scale events and managing facilities.
- Strong stakeholder‑management and partnership‑building skills.
- Data‑driven decision‑making and performance‑evaluation expertise.
- Financial planning and budgeting experience.
- Ability to lead audits, reporting and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on advancing women’s and girls’ sports.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
