Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Raffles & Fairmont Doha invites applications for a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations at both properties. The role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene and guest satisfaction in line with the brands' luxury hospitality standards, supervising and motivating housekeeping colleagues, inspecting rooms and public areas, coordinating daily assignments and monitoring operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations and assign duties and schedules to Room Attendants according to occupancy.
• Inspect guest rooms, suites, corridors and public areas regularly, and ensure rooms are cleaned, inspected and released on time.
• Monitor room cleanliness, presentation, maintenance issues and amenity replenishment, giving personal attention to VIP rooms and special requests.
• Handle guest complaints and requests promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry and other departments.
• Monitor colleagues' grooming, attendance, productivity and performance, and provide on-the-job training and coaching.
• Monitor linen, cleaning supplies, amenities and equipment, and ensure proper handling, storage and use of cleaning chemicals.
• Follow up on maintenance defects and report them to Engineering.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Prepare daily reports, room inspection checklists, staff assignments and shift handover reports, and handle Lost & Found items.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of housekeeping experience in a five-star hotel.
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays, and to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and room inspection standards.
• Understanding of luxury hotel brand standards and guest service excellence.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS and housekeeping management systems.
• Leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety, hygiene and chemical handling procedures.
