HSE Manager – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

The HSE Manager will lead health, safety and environmental operations for a large‑scale facilities management contract, ensuring compliance with company, client and statutory requirements while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the project’s HSE Management System.
• Ensure compliance with all company, client and statutory HSE regulations.
• Lead risk assessments, hazard identification and incident investigations, delivering corrective actions.
• Manage emergency preparedness and response plans, including fire safety and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Oversee contractor HSE compliance and conduct internal and external HSE audits.
• Monitor HSE KPIs, prepare monthly reports and deliver training and awareness programmes.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or related field.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (mandatory).
• ISO 45001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification.
• ISO 14001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant HSE experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in facilities management, industrial operations, logistics, warehousing, food storage, port operations or other high‑risk environments.
