Infrastructure Systems Administrator (Windows/Linux)

About the role

We are seeking an Infrastructure Systems Administrator to manage and optimise the IT environment of a major sports venue in Doha. The role covers Windows and Red Hat‑based Linux servers, cloud resources and hyper‑converged platforms, ensuring high availability, security and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor server performance and capacity using tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Nagios or SolarWinds.
• Perform backups, disaster‑recovery drills and data‑integrity checks.
• Apply security patches, conduct vulnerability assessments and enforce hardening standards.
• Configure and optimise virtualisation platforms including VMware, Nutanix and vSAN.
• Manage cloud workloads in public and hybrid environments, assist with integrations and cost‑optimisation.
• Administer Windows Server (installation, clustering, failover) and Red Hat‑based Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux) including scripting and performance tuning.
• Automate provisioning and maintenance with PowerShell, Ansible or Bash.
• Maintain Active Directory and Azure AD hybrid setups, manage GPOs and perform security audits.
• Document configurations, procedures and incident responses.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Windows Server and Red Hat‑based Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of virtualisation and hyper‑converged infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms and hybrid integrations.
• Ability to troubleshoot, automate and improve system reliability.
