Data Privacy Officer

About the role

The Data Privacy Officer will oversee the bank’s data privacy program, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies. The role involves developing privacy frameworks, conducting impact assessments, and delivering training to staff across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the bank’s Data Privacy framework in line with applicable laws.
• Prepare and annually review privacy policies, procedures and notices.
• Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments for business processes and IT applications.
• Maintain Records of Processing Activities and Data Flow Diagrams with IT teams.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure all processes and applications handling personal data comply with internal policies.
• Support Privacy Champions and provide staff training on data protection requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in financial services or banking, with a focus on data privacy, data protection or data compliance.
• Previous experience conducting privacy impact assessments and managing privacy programs in a banking environment.
