L1 Network Monitoring Engineer (Bilingual Arabic/English)

About the Position

Join Arab Solutions as an L1 Network Monitoring Engineer, where you will play a critical role in maintaining our high-availability network infrastructure. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to support our 24/7 operations, ensuring seamless connectivity and rapid response to any network incidents.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform real-time monitoring of network infrastructure using NMS tools to ensure optimal availability and performance.
• Detect, troubleshoot, and respond to network alerts and incidents promptly to minimize service disruption.
• Conduct initial L1 diagnostics and escalate complex technical issues to L2/L3 engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate incident logs, update ticketing systems, and ensure comprehensive documentation.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and escalation matrices strictly.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for efficient problem resolution.
• Provide regular status updates and detailed incident reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to SLAs and operational KPIs.
• Support 24/7 operations, including night shifts and weekends on a rotational basis.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience in network monitoring or within a Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure 24/7 environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.

Required Skills

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Hands-on experience with NMS tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, or Zabbix.
• Basic knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and WAN/LAN environments.
• Proficiency with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.
