Languages Teacher – Spanish & French (Grades 6‑12)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Languages Teacher to deliver high‑quality Spanish instruction for Grades 6‑12, including the High School Diploma and IB Diploma Programme, as well as French for lower secondary students (Grades 6‑8). The successful candidate will join a multicultural school community and contribute to a vibrant learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured Spanish lessons for secondary students, covering the High School Diploma, IB, and A‑Level curricula.
• Teach French to lower secondary learners, fostering communication skills and intercultural understanding.
• Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and guide learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including EAL and high‑ability students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, schemes of work, and departmental resources.
• Maintain a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere and communicate regularly with parents.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, cultural events, and school life.
• Uphold professional standards, safeguarding, health, and safety policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Languages with a valid teaching certification meeting Qatar MOEHE requirements.
• Minimum three years of secondary‑level Spanish teaching experience.
• Experience with High School Diploma, IB Diploma Programme, or A‑Level Spanish.
• Ability to teach French to Grades 6‑8.
• Strong subject knowledge and modern language pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in an international or multicultural school environment is preferred.
