Laundry Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Laundry Attendant to join our hotel’s housekeeping team in Doha. The role involves handling all aspects of laundering and dry‑cleaning guest linens and staff uniforms while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, drying and dry‑cleaning machines, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps as required.
• Inspect items for stains or damage and decide on rewash, spot‑treatment, repair or discard.
• Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric type and remove lint and debris after each load.
• Fold cleaned articles by hand or using a folding machine and place them in clean linen carts.
• Maintain accurate records of all laundered items and follow company safety, security and uniform policies.
• Perform routine visual inspections of equipment and report any defects.

Required profile

• No high‑school diploma or prior laundry experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Comfortable working in narrow, confined or elevated spaces and on uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Willingness to follow safety training, company policies and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial washing machines.
• Operation of dryer and dry‑cleaning equipment.
• Basic knowledge of chemical handling for laundry processes.
