Logistics Coordinator (Offshore)

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator (Offshore) will manage marine and aviation logistics for offshore platforms, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of materials, equipment, and personnel. This role supports QatarEnergy LNG’s drilling and operational activities by coordinating all transport movements between onshore and offshore sites.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan marine vessel loading/unloading and aviation fuel and personnel transfers for offshore platforms.
• Prepare shipping and aviation documentation, including manifests, dangerous goods declarations, and cost reports in line with company procedures.
• Work with the Supply department to define scopes of work for marine, aviation, and chemical contracts.
• Develop and maintain policies and standards governing aviation and marine operations, equipment movement, and chemical handling.
• Manage liaison with Doha Heliport and Ras Laffan Port for vessel and helicopter clearances, pilot exemptions, and third‑party personnel movements.
• Compile load lists, supervise vessel loading, verify cargo weights, and maintain cargo movement statistics for audit reporting.
• Ensure contractor compliance on vessel and helicopter contracts and address any non‑compliance issues.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and load checks before each loading/unloading operation.
• Schedule daily marine and air operations, monitor weather forecasts, and coordinate standby vessel and crew requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum of 96 months (8 years) of experience in offshore logistics, marine, or aviation operations.
• Proven ability to coordinate complex logistics chains involving vessels, helicopters, and hazardous materials.
• Familiarity with offshore safety procedures, cargo documentation, and contract management.
